This one is for the fans! posted on 30 Aug 2009
The third High School Musical is bigger and there is more. More people. More dancing. More songs. More fun. But this time it is also more serious. Because its time for decisions. And time for good-byes - however brief they may be.First let me say that the dance numbers just about took my breath away. I bow to Kenny Ortega and his crew. And I bow to the actors. Their dancing, singing and acting was simply incredible. As for the new faces - they were fun but I don't think they will be able to carry a whole movie. The Rocket man works as a comic relief but by himself is just too annoying. And Tiara is just a b/tch but without the class Sharpay had. and Im not sure she can sing. But back to the Wildcats. I love all the songs but after the first time my favorite dance scene is The Boys are back. Troys solo was incredible too. But my favorite scene is definitely the waltzing in the rain. Zac & Vanessa literally flew over the rooftop - full of grace and joy and love. I was surprised but also infinitely glad for how many couple-y scenes they had together. And you gotta love Ms. Darbuss. And Kelsis hats. And Ryan. Just because he is so ... well Ryan. And you also gotta love the end although I almost shed a tear with their last bow. They all enjoyed making these movies. I certainly enjoyed watching them. Im gonna miss them. But the time we had together will stay with me forever - however cheesy it may sound.so close your locker, throw the cap, sing the last line - and never forget.PS: Look out for the camel :)

My kids love HSM1 so we have been watching that one and listening to its soundtrack on constant rotation as a family since it had first been shown on the Disney Channel. HSM2 did not make such a big impact on them musically, but they loved "What Time Is It?" from that one. Of course, they wanted to see HSM3 also.So what can I say about HSM3? Like HSM2, it pretty much follows the same formula as the first HSM. The basic conflict is the same for Troy: basketball or theater? But this time, this conflict is on a higher level as it is about what he should take in college. Gabriela's problem is whether she should accept the Stanford's Honors Program and miss the Senior Prom and Spring Musicale? Sharpay is still on her quest to wrest the lead role away from Gabriela, as in the past 2 installments. However, this movie is not really about the depth of the storyline, is it? It is about the songs and dances and as a movie musical, I think it succeeds 100%! From the very first basketball-themed song "Now or Never;" to the frenetic Sharpay fantasy "I Want It All;" to the romantically shot rooftop waltz "Can I Have This Dance;" to the prom-themed "A Night to Remember," the songs and dances are all excellent and catchy. The youthful and energetic choreography is really fantastic to watch on the big screen. A highlight of sorts is "The Boys are Back" featuring Zac Efron and Corbin Bleu with memorable masculine choreography, reminiscent of "West Side Story." Zac Efron has his solo angst spot with "Scream," but this was done before in HSM2 as "Bet On It." As for the cast, I can observe that Zac Efron has stepped up his acting for the big screen, although the others seemed to still be acting in a TV movie. Vanessa Hudgens is the same sweet presence as before. Ashley Tisdale still hams it up as the showy Sharpay, although her role seems to be lesser in this one than before. The minor plots involving new actors in the cast Mark Prokop (as the new guy on the basketball team Jimmie "Rocket Man" Zara) and Jemma Mackenzie Brown (as the British Sharpay understudy Tiara Gold) did not seem not to work in my opinion, as they felt forced. The last song "High School Musical" and last sequence with curtain call was a bit awkward for me, but that is a minor quibble.Overall, I enjoyed this movie as a good musical film. I liked the songs here better than the HSM2 songs. The music and choreography are the real stars of this one. Looking forward to some of them being nominated for Oscar Best Song when the time comes.

OK, so I will admit, I'm not a die-hard HSM fan. Heck I'm too old to be. But I have younger siblings, so I have been following the High School Musical series since the very beginning.Unfortunately the HSM franchise seems to be suffering from what I like to call "sequel disease", i.e. the typical Hollywood cliché of film series starting off really well, followed by the release of an OK sequel, and subsequently the release of one final sequel which is just plain terrible. I assume you know where I'm going with this.I gave this a 2/10 simply because that's how terrible it was. It's not one of those "so bad it's good" type things - that is so HSM1. No, HSM3 is just bad. It may potentially be the worst film I've ever seen apart from Mr & Mrs Smith, which is just a dreadful movie, period.Perhaps the only praise I have is for Ashley Tisdale, who seems to be one of those very few people who seem to be born for the entertainment industry. I see a bright future ahead of her.Apart from that, HSM3 is just awful. I can't even describe it. The only thing I can say, though, is that I think that Kenny Ortega is the reason why the HSM franchise has been suffering from "sequel disease". His existence is probably the reason why HSM2 was nowhere near as good as HSM1. They should have kept the first guy, whoever he was...

This movie is really good. I'm a big high school musical fan, but from all the three movies this is the one i liked most and it's actually the best of the three, so i don't understand how it has less golden stars than the others. OK, it's not a movie that critics will enjoy (cause let's face it, the plot isn't that big), but all teens and kids (and even adults) should enjoy it, because it has everything: romance, drama, amazing songs, comedy and dances. The plot is (in a Disney way) really true, something many teenagers have to face when they graduate. So i have to say this: The songs are catchy, beautiful and amazing (my favorite "Right here right now"), the dances are amazing, and even the acting doesn't blow. Yeah, it's not for people who likes serious movies, but this is a fun, smart ending for the trilogy. The story is catchy and it teach you so many lessons of life, some may disagree, but they do teach you stuff. Loved it.

Thankfully, movies free from the realities of our depressing world still exist. Its films like these that let us be able to escape into a world where everything is practically perfect and our stress and worries are left at the ticket booth. Its that reason why this series is so popular. This movie has its flaws, in its production and acting but it makes up for it with happiness, fun, and spirit. The music alone just makes me feel happy, like when I was a worry free child. This movie might have been made for children and teens, but adults of all ages who long for a stress-free life should step in line for HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR!

This was my first experience with anything HSM related and I regret having decided to watch this. I like musicals, so I thought there would at least be catchy songs to like. Well, there aren't. I can't see how anyone could like this unless you are a 10 year old girl. The acting is horrible, and the fake lip-singing is so awful. It doesn't even sound like their voices. Plus, the songs are horrible. The music, the lyrics, all of it. I know I never liked corny shows like this when I was a kid. I feel bad for all the parents that took their kids to the theater to see this and had to sit through it. Maybe some were smart enough to bring ear plugs and blindfolds.FINAL VERDICT: One of the worst scripts and songs for a musical that's ever been made. Only watch it if you want to be tortured.

Because the rest of it is pretty forgetful, not to mention in High School Musical 1 and 2 it was an ensemble, but in the third time around, it is downsized to three of the main characters, Troy(Zak Effron), Gabriella(Vanessa Hudgens), and Sharpay(Ashley Tisdale). The rest, Chad(Corbin Bleau), and Ryan(Lucas Grabeel), I felt did not have much to work with, they where in and out for the most part. But it did have amazing dance numbers and had great songs, like the first two did, but Effron, Hudgens, and Tisdale just keep repeating themselves. It's entertaining at times dragging. I'll bet the cast is ready to move on after this one, I could see it on most of there faces. It was alright, but not exciting and energetic has the first two.

I was going into this movie hoping it would be great and it delivered. I am a 18 yr old guy and can still say I've liked all of the HSM movies. But as to HSM 3, it started out fast paced and had me hooked. The music was great and I went and bought the soundtrack right after I left the theater. The songs have always been good, but I think they did better with the lyrics in this one. I think Zac Efron improved his acting in this film and everyone else did just as well if not better as they had before. I would love if they made a HSM 4, but only if they kept the main 6 characters/actors (Troy, Gabriella,Sharpay,Ryan,Chad,Kelsi). They all are the ones that keep me interested, though it wouldn't be right without other key people, like Mr. Bolton or Mrs. Darbus.Overall: Very impressed

Why does this movie exist? Why is there a series of High School Musical movies at all? They are nothing like real high school musical productions and in fact the way they present high school is nothing like high school is actually like at all! No sex, no swearing, no drugs, no alcohol, no real problems at all. Boo hoo these poor kids! What kind of ultra rich fantasy world is this where they can afford such high production values? The songs are all bland and awful. The performers are at least a little talented (most of them anyway) but nothing special and most are only in it obviously because they have a certain look or maybe know someone or maybe their parents do. The High School Musical movies are all bland and totally pointless.

I was practically dragged into the theater by my two best friends. I hated the first two movies and how everyone obsessed over them. But curiosity got the best of me, and as soon as my friends noticed a tidbit of interest, they jumped on it like sharks.I was pleasantly surprised. The beginning was somewhat cheesy, yes, but it only got better from there. It's obvious they put a little more effort into this one than with the other two films. The characters have matured, the songs have improved, the scenery was fantastic, and the choreography was amazing. And I used to be a hater.Truly talented performances by the entire cast, though I do believe the new additions were useless and dragged the film down. I do not think Zac Efron is attractive, but even I have to admit he has talent as a singer. "Scream" was my favorite song of all.The plot was better, not a complete clone of the first two. As I said before, the dancing was great and the scenery was a definite "WOW." All in all, things are looking up for the future of the free world. Well...that's an exaggeration. But I think it's time for everyone, myself included, to understand that Disney just doesn't make movies like "The Lion King" anymore. Maybe "High School Musical" is as good as it gets for this age range. It sure seems to have the attention of a good number of kids from high school down.I don't support the fourth movie. Nor do I worship any of the actors in the film. But they have my applause for "Senior Year." Rating based against the first two movies and other Disney Channel films, not on movies overall.7/10

High School Musical 3 is about the kids from the first installment of the movie all grown up and about to graduate from the memorable halls of East High School. posted on 14 Aug 2009
High School Musical 3. . . what can i say? it's totally the biggest of the three films and i gotta say that this is my favorite. The numbers are so theatrical and special effects-y and its just so great!! But I have to say my absolute favorite songs were the Troy/Gabby duets! They are so romantic and sweet. And since i am not in high school(i'm 13--one more year!)it's kind of a fantasy movie for me. the cafeteria scene with Ryan and Sharpay's futures involved was so amazing and mind blowing! My friend "Emily" hasn't seen this yet, but will after she comes to my house(She is still in doubt of Vanessa Hudgens because of the scandal, but she WILL change her mind...)It will totally exceed your expectations!!

The genius that is Kenny Ortega has definitely saved the best for last.Having followed this musical from the very beginning, I can safely say that it has evolved. Not only does the chemistry between the actors seem real enough to draw you in but the song and dance numbers do their very best to make you wanna shake a leg and rustle a vocal chord. This movie isn't just about the colourful sing song but also conveys quite a positive message especially to younger viewers. Do not reprove it based on the previous two- They do it no justice so go enjoy it!

Hype is the killer of most big movies. For months people continue to build up suspense and more suspense until the standards for the movie are near impossible to reach. The first High School Musical was released with virtually no suspense. If I remember correctly, the trailer for the first movie contained almost no information about plot line. I watched the first movie on TV with no standard whatsoever. And it surprised me; it was a very good movie. Then the sequel was released under tremendous hype. Again I had no expectations for the sequel; the second installation usually never lives up to the success of the first. Again, I was surprised, it was a good movie. The fact that the second movie was good built an even greater hype for the third installation. Disney was even bold enough to premiere it on the big screen. That means a bigger budget, more money for editing, actors, writers, music .. Which means it should be that much better a movie correct? A combination of these factors led to giving High School Musical 3 very, very large shoes to fill. So did High School Musical 3 live up to its lofty expectations? Yes it did. That larger budget was definitely put to good use. From the minute teen heartthrob Troy Bolton, played by Zac Efron, appears on the big screen to the epic finale at the end of the movie, you will see that the effects are very much improved. The lighting is better, there are more extras, and the dance and choreography sequences are much more intricate and occur in strange interesting places (such as the junkyard). The improved quality was most evident during the basketball game opening sequence. The crowd was crazy, the flashing lights, the heart beat in the background made for a very dramatic sequence. And by the way as a teen male that loves playing basketball, I know what I'm saying when I say that it realistically captures the sense of a basketball game. If you compare this basketball game to the final game in the first High School Musical, you will see how much of a difference a budget increase gives a movie. As a musical what is the most important feature to have? Well music of course. The music was what made the first High School Musical popular, and the music is what keeps the third High School Musical going. The music is great and varied. It ranges from the poppy sequences like "I Want it All", a song that expresses Sharpay's dream of becoming a superstar or to the mellow, romantic songs such as "Can I Have This Dance?" a song that plays along as Gabriella shows Troy how to waltz for their prom. The music is well made and fits the scene in the movies perfectly. Well polished and creative, some of the songs will have you singing outside of the theater. What makes High School Musical 3 different from the other musicals? The plot and characters define the High School Musical experience. Like I said before, I am a teen male and also know the difficulties of my future, I can also relate. The plot revolves around Troy's uncertainty about his future. With many colleges vying for him what college should he choose, should he pursue basketball or acting? On top of that, how will he stay with his girlfriend Gabriella, who is going thousand miles away to Stanford? The plot is not that special or extraordinary, but what makes it stand out are the actors/ actresses. Zac Efron does a great job of playing Troy. Not too sensitive and feminine but not a complete idiot either. Vanessa Hudgens also is excellent at her role as Gabriella. Other excellent actors/ actresses include Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, and Corbin Bleu.Overall, the movie definitely did live up to expectations. A very appropriate conclusion to the Wildcat experience.I know some people didn't enjoy the High School Musical experience, but I'm not gonna lie, the three movies are fairly good for what I would classify as chick flicks.

The third installment of the legend, and the grande finale to end all finales before. One would expect a glowing review from me, but alas, I must start by picking at its faults.HSM3 seemed to me, upon first viewing, to be a bit disorganised. Its time sequences are quite haphazard, with the scenes interlaced with soliloquies and "stop telling the story - it's rehearsal time!" scenes. The movie seemed to be an endless series of music numbers joined poorly by the event scenes that actually tell the story. Granted, it IS a musical, but...the badly done patchwork of storytelling made it overall a little messy and baffling. Also, the story was much limited to romances and relationships between the main characters, especially Troy and Gabriella (yes, I know it is the theme!), and the only other plot point besides the Prom was the Spring Musical. Alas, the story wasn't as good as its predecessor, HSM2, even though it does suit the theme of HSM3. In fact, my overall opinion about HSM3 swings between equal or inferior to HSM2.However, the choreography was stunning. If there was a reason I forgave the movie for having not-too-good songs, it would be the dancing talents of all those fine actors. I particularly enjoyed the Evans Twins' number, I Want It All. So professional, spellbinding, so Broadway. I personally disliked half the songs, but EVERY SINGLE ONE of them (even the ones that aren't dances) were accompanied by beautiful choreography and emotion too wonderful for words. Kudos to Kenny Ortega and the cast! The actors' performances (tears, waltz, and romancing) were all Oscar material, especially Zac Efron's portrayal of Troy 'Romeo' Bolton. His soliloquy 'Scream' was pure anger and angst, and I felt his rage despite the somewhat unsuitable music-tune. Another great character was the new addition Tiara Gold, played by Jemma McKenzie-Brown. Tiara is a sweet-girl-villain-actually, and her betrayal scene was one literally dripping with evil (love it!). She successfully put a female in the list of 'British Movie Villains', and has MY vote for an Oscar. The finale was beyond wonderful; the scope of the scene drew tears from my eyes. After such a long time the series has run, after so many struggles and joys, what better way to end with style and a splash - or rather, BOOM - with the music number 'High School Musical'? The final number was the culmination of years of work - everything led to that moment, so the movie makers simply HAD to make it the perfect end. And how it was perfect! High School Musical draws the full-stop with a song that shares its title, making it a legend that will persist for generations until it is officially deemed 'classic'. All the drama, the comedy, the magic comes to a fitting end with this poignant show-stopper. And, at last, in line with musical theater tradition, also seen in the previous two movies, the main cast take their final bows in front of the audience before the curtains close. This bow is unusual; the characters break the fourth wall and tell the audience directly though without words, "This is the end of the great show, and our last HSM ever! We hope you enjoyed it all with us!" Those six individual shots of the actors' faces really were a lot more than just camera close-ups. Do you see the sparkling tears at the corner of their eyes? Perhaps they know that this really is the end of HSM as much for them as for us.Thus the legend ends. And it was a good show. Jolly good show.

I will admit to being a grown adult who does watch and sometimes enjoy children's shows. I also teach 3rd grade, and let me tell you, my kids love the fact that I do-it's good conversation starters. Anyway, when HSM first came out a couple of years ago, I was at first a little annoyed with the way the "high school experience" was depicted for kids who are not yet in high school. Unfortunately in our society, I think most of us can say that the movie is not even close to what real high school is like. I mean, the most devious behavior (in the first movie)going on in the bathrooms between classes was Sharpay trying to sabotage Troy and Gabriella's chances for the play-which she later almost sincerely apologized for. No kids sneaking out back to smoke, no water bottles filled with vodka, no girls walking around in various stages of pregnancy. Realistic by today's standards-no. But then I stopped and thought, it's freaking Disney. And why not try to keep our kids slightly more innocent for a little bit longer? And Disney's not going to smack kids in the face with moral lessons-which doesn't work. The morals were almost hidden by the teenage eye candy in the form of problems with cliques in schools today. Kids walk away not realizing they subconsciously learned a lesson (hopefully) about crossing clique lines and not getting blinded by stereotype. And that Troy is just sooooooo cute.I ended up going with a fellow teacher (after my sister advised against taking my 2 1/2 year old niece who does not yet sit through movies as a cover) not expecting to be wowed by the previous academy award winning acting-again, it's Disney, it's supposed to be fun not Oscar-worthy. Yes, sometimes the cheesiness of the dialog was just laughable; and yes, it's shockingly devoid of realistic high school experiences (no shooting up 'roids before the big game and no late night hookups at a midnight rendezvous in the tree house), but I was surprised by the issues that were addressed-mainly, all the pressure seniors in high school have to face when graduating-where to go to school, what to major in, leaving family/friends/girl-boyfriends, and most importantly, the fact that they want to grow up and be treated as adults but also that they have to grow up and start making adult decisions that could affect the rest of their lives. They were all dealt with very well in my opinion-enough to show the problems, but not too much to freak out the younguns not yet at that point in their lives. The songs were again, sometimes incredibly cheesy, but I felt they fit into the movie well, especially when viewed from the point that they were the songs used in the musical at the end. The characters feelings through the last half of their senior year became the characters feelings in the musical. A musical within a musical, where both stories were the same. The dancing was pretty freaking incredible as well. It was FUN, as the movie was supposed to be, and I enjoyed it, as did the 6-15 year-olds in the theater with me. Funny, isn't that the target audience?
-
I thought this installment was better than the first two. Though I agree with the comments that this movie doesn't present high school the way it really is, I also agree with the assertion that it never says it's going to. This is a musical for CHILDREN! It's something that parents can take their CHILDREN to see without concerns about sex, drugs, and violence. The target audience for this movie is obviously not adults. If you're looking for a hard hitting expose on high school, this CHILDREN'S movie is not the place to find it. The songs are fun, I listen to them all the time. The dance numbers were great. The choreography in this movie is better than in the first two. The actors are older and better at acting than they were before. I'm 21 years old and I enjoy this movie for what it is, a CHILDREN'S musical. It's really fun to watch and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD!

Wow, this series has worn out its welcome. The first two installments were modest, harmless TV movies with fast-moving stories and some catchy songs. The third time was not the charm.I must say, either my tastes have gotten much more discriminating or this cast is getting worse with each picture. I find Ashley Tisdale about as screechy and annoying as fingernails on a chalkboard, and she was worse than ever in HSM3. Ditto Corbin Bleu, so cheerful and peppy that it gets a little sickening. All of the "actors" come off like over-eager stage-children, but those two are probably the worst offenders. None of the case- and I mean none- are believable as real, human high school students.
-
I'm gonna be neutral with this one(please don't hate me). From where I came, H.S.M. is loved by my female classmates back in my senior year. I wasn't a big fan of the show especially this third installment of the series. It's not like I hate it or anything, its just that the characters already been there, sang/danced/laughed/made fun of/loved/hated/went through all that in the previous films/series. It's like; you've seen one High School Musical, you've seen them all. One thing that shudders me is this movie is SO movie-like. What I meant was: the situations, chain of events are too fictional to be true. Come on people; in the real world, where can you find over 20 people who don't even know each other singing the same "original" songs with good coordination and dancing the same steps with good choreography inside a prom ball or inside a basketball court? I've seen it in cartoons; but why imitate? As for the story, its for fans to love, and for people like me to leave it be(My high school days are the worst of my life, and maybe best for others).

oh my God!!!! i loved it i saw it twice and i am gonna go see it again!!!it is amazing. it has amazing songs but that was no surprise. it has good acting and an amazing plot!!i loved it!!Troy and Gabriella's love connection was of course the main concern of the movie and it was awesome amazing i was absolutely speechless after i watched it!it was awesome awesome awesome!! i loved the first 2 movies and it was good. especially the bloopers at the end. and Matt prokop is a hotty. it was really good.the cast was amazing and putting it in the theatres was a very good idea!!i wish i could watch it every day!!it was just utterly amazing!!!watch it! go see it! now! go!

Disney really seems to know what they're doing with the massive teen High School Musical franchise. With the third film in the series, which makes the leap from the small screen to the big screen, the choreography, singing, and set pieces are all an ode to Broadway, a visual feast for the eyes and lovely catchy tunes to accompany it. The entire cast of the other two films (Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale, and company) return in what may be the best installment in the series, directed again by the consistent talents of Kenny Ortega, who has directed Disney favorites like Newsies and Hocus Pocus. It's senior year, and Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) are facing very real threats to their relationship. Colleges beckon, and with the approach of the final musical, Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale) tries her absolute hardest to split up the duo and steal the leading role. Ultimately, Troy must make the decision to pursue either basketball or the theater, which leads to a spectacular finale. The actors have all grown over the past couple of films, but none so much as Vanessa Hudgens. While she has always had a very bittersweet voice, but I was left unimpressed by her mediocre acting efforts in the previous two films, the first moreso than the second. On the other hand, if I heard her character call Troy "wildcat" one more time, I was going to barf, but that was more the writer's fault than Vanessa. Zac Efron, as expected, steals the show completely, and you can tell just from watching that he had a great time making this movie. It is also of note that I loved finally seeing the Troy/Gabriella chemistry come through. I felt like they were a serious couple in this movie, not just crushes like in the other two. Lucas Grabeel is underused as usual, but he always looks like he's having a fun time. Ryan has been one of my favorite characters throughout the series, and it was great to see him choreograph the play. Ashley Tisdale is not quite as menacing as she was in the second film as Sharpay Evans, but she's still a force to be reckoned with in HSM3. Her performance as the over-confident diva has remained surprisingly consistent over the course of the three films. Corbin Bleu actually managed to impress me a little bit, for as much as I hated him in the first two movies, he was actually pretty tolerable in this one, and that might have been because his character sort of takes a backseat to the main plot. Monique Coleman is pretty good as Taylor, although most of the time she comes off just a bit too bitchy for her own good. Olesya Rulin is great as Kelsi, but she has been great throughout the series. I felt like her "look" in this film was the best by far. The new characters, Jimmy (Matt Prokop), Tiara (Jemma McKenzie-Brown), and Dion (Justin Martin), were all pretty great, with the exception of Dion. After three movies, it's nice to see a few changes. Noticeably different was the awesome color palette, which means every scene is just swimming with all sorts of bright colors, even extras sport flashy colors that add to the overall flow of certain semi-irrelevant scenes. The choreography is fantastic, and director Kenny Ortega is obviously the one to thank for this. The costumes are all vibrant and unique in their own ways, fitting with most average teen attire. I loved the wide shots of the school, where you see all the extras and characters in all sorts of different colors. Some of the prom dresses were hideous, but the number "A Night to Remember" certainly made up for any small flaws with catchy tunes, and dressing the guys to look absolutely stunning. In fact, a lot of the numbers have catchy tunes, especially "The Boys are Back". That song will literally be stuck in your head for weeks. My personal favorite number was "Can I Have this Dance?", a cutesy song on a roof between Troy and Gabriella as she teaches him how to waltz. The most important part in any concluding chapter is how well the end ties everything together, and I think HSM3 ends the series beautifully on a perfect note. The ending is reminiscent of an actual show, which makes it all the more fantastic. Add to that a graduation version of the first film's "We're All in this Together" and a new song all about appreciating the series as a whole called "High School Musical", and I'm completely sold.Just like the other two films, HSM3 is essentially a fantasy about high school life. Nothing is like this in real life, and the movies never try to hide that. It's just an innocent world where the biggest of problems is the distance that going to college will create. I would never try to claim that the film is a perfect representation of high school life, because it's not. Like all good fantasies, it takes a base in reality and adds all sorts of cute little quirks. The series humor is still here, and everything is better than ever.As the original HSM trilogy comes to a close, I'm left very satisfied with my final trip to East High. The movie was well-made, the songs were the best the series has seen, the film-making is the best yet, and the acting was superb from everyone involved. It's finally nice to see an innocent series that manages to maintain its integrity by the final chapter. Everything (and more) that I loved about the series in the first two films is amplified here in the series' most re-watchable film. Don't miss the final year at East Highwhile it may be a little short in the conflict department, the film has plenty of dances, singing, and colors to love.
