I downloaded this a couple of weeks ago and whilst it as scary as it everyone is saying, I was disappointed that the ending was the more laid back one than the one that is currently being shown in the States. I went to see it at the cinema last night (with the scary ending) and I nearly shit myself!!! Shadows, bumps, slamming doors, ouija boards setting alight by themselves- this film is definitely one to check out if youre not afraid of a film getting completely inside your head and staying with you. I have been around a long time and let me tell you I have seen some really terrifying films. But the climax of Paranormal Activity was probably as scared as I have ever been in a cinema, and if you have a history of heart problems, please please stay away!!!!!!
