A Polish comedy that incorporates a chaotic tale of gangsters, a hit man, policemen, and lots of blood! Max and Guli are gangsters who end up in a confusing twist of rival gangs and briefcases. Added to this mix is a gang of gypsies and a sexy killer. The police commissioner and rookie Sergeant try to foil the gangsters' plans. The result is a hilarious plot and scenes that will have viewer... s laughing well after the movie is over. The movie was inspired by American classics such as "Pulp Fiction," "Kill Bill," and "The Matrix." This big-budget film included some of the same crew members that worked on "Casino Royale."

This movie is a great character study that brings you under the skin of the two protagonists. One might have some criticism for the depth or quality of the dialogue, but dialogue is not what this film is about. It is about the emotions and the dreams, the tustles that the protagonists face within their inner selves and with those around them. These are transposed through the visuals rather than the dialogue. While the pace may be slow for some viewers, the crescendo and the climax are perfectly dosed creating a sublimely atmospheric piece of art-house cinema. Written byjoelebrun2003
