Marcos is sold by his family to tend goats in a remote village in the Sierra de Cordoba, Andalusia. Following the death of the goatherd he worked with, he befriends wolves and lives in cave for 12 years before being rescued at age 19. Olivares focuses on turning the startling facts into an eco-friendly, inspirational tale of adversity overcome, replete with terrific nature footage; result is a solid, honest-to-goodness piece of family entertainment. First weekend B.O. at home was strong, and offshore territories will likely want a bite of a universally themed item with little tricky foreign dialogue.

Penniless, he is forced to work as a humble copyist. Lope falls for Elena (Pilar López de Ayala), his boss’s ravishing daughter. His well-connected boss, who runs the most successful theatre troupe in the city, would never approve of the liaison, so the affair is kept secret. But Elena has another secret: she's already married. When Lope finds out, he asks her to end her marriage and make their love public. But Elena refuses. Wounded, he is tempted to play along with the one woman who can bring his vision to the stage, but his passion burns stronger than his ambition, and he publicly exposes the hypocrisy of Elena and her father...
